This evening we achieved a tremendous victory for our community: Our legislation (Section 33 of HB 1193) exempting holistic health and wellness practitioners from Florida state licensure has been approved by the legislature almost-unanimously, and is awaiting the Governor's signature. After this, you will no longer need a license to work independently as a holistic health or wellness professional. This would not have been possible without our member schools and generouscoalitionpartners.
Florida is the largest state to fall in the dietetics monopoly, and the Council's thirdmajor victory in just three years. Not including the many legislative threats that we have defeated along the way. To continue this great work we will need your financial support. Please commit to giving an amount or a grant to the Council and put your trust in us, to continue to fight for your rights.
Is your school a member of the Council? I urge you to advocate that they join. More schools means greater resources for our advocacy. This struggle for our rights will only get harder the more victories we have, so we need you. Please donate and support our valuable work to the community.
Thank you, very much.
